Teaching Philosophy

The Alexander Technique is a deeply transformative practice that fosters connection beyond the limits of verbal communication, offering students a path to experience the full range of human expression—its beauty, strength, and vulnerability. As an educator, my goal is to create an environment where students can cultivate authenticity, confidence, and self-awareness.

I believe each student is unique, bringing their own set of experiences, needs, and aspirations to their learning. My role is to meet students where they are and support them as they grow into their fullest potential.

My teaching philosophy embraces an individualized, student-centered approach. I strive to create an inclusive, welcoming space where students feel empowered to explore their identities and perceptions of self. I am particularly committed to fostering a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ and queer students, encouraging them to experiment, take risks, and challenge any limiting beliefs they may hold about themselves or their abilities. The holistic nature of the Alexander Technique is an invaluable tool for this type of self-exploration, allowing students to connect more deeply with their voices, bodies, and emotional experiences in a way that is joyful, liberating, and transformative.
